Well after this week I can officially check off ‘Take a Road trip’ off of my bucket list! This past week my Dad and I shared the 1,800 mile drive from Massachusetts to North Dakota, with a great deal of fast food, singing (at least on my part) and beautiful scenery.
It was a bit of a real life game of tetris while packing the car, but I am pleased with how I packed and what as able to make it out to North Dakota with me. (To see some of my tips on my packing feel free to check out my post)
The road trip started at one of my favorite coffee shops in North Andover, called Heavenly Donuts. I just love the coconut macaroon iced coffee and am already looking for a great coffee shop here in Bismarck!
I had such a fun time driving my new car across the country! I’m definitely getting used to having my own car for the first time in my life, and couldn’t be happier in my little Subaru
It was wonderful passing through the Wisconsin country side, to see the corn, cows and how huge the sky is without skyscrapers in the way.
While we had to sit through about 2 hours of traffic, it was exciting to see the beauty of Chicago’s skyline. I definitely hope to plan a trip soon, to explore such a fun city!
After three days we finally made it to North Dakota, and despite all the bugs left on my car we had such a great time! I’ve spent the past few days visiting local stores, thrifting and decorating my new apartment. I can’t wait to share photos in the upcoming weeks as my place comes together.
Hope you’re having a great weekend!

What a busy week! The past seven days have been bursting at the seams with activities, goodbyes and planning, as my life has been turned upside down in the best way possible!
Early this week I said goodbye to my boyfriend who is pursuing his dreams California! And while spending time together, I found out that I have gotten a reporting and anchoring job at a wonderful television station in Bismarck, North Dakota!
I am having so much fun discovering my new city and finding apartments with my realtor (isn’t she the sweetest!?)
For the next few days I’ll be hanging out in the city, sharing photos of my travels, and tonight I’ll be sharing some inspiration for my new apartment here.
I hope everyone else has had a wonderful weekend, and I can’t wait to share the journey I will be taking every single day.
