Ah it’s that time of year again! Time to fill out your applications, spruce up the old resume and pen a few cover letters to secure either a job or an internship for this upcoming summer. While I was complaining the week before Christmas, due to a lack of snow, this week I have had just about enough of the fluffy white stuff. The hardest part of going to school in a place where the weather gets icky, is creating looks to wear out at night, with the snow boots you wear during the day.
I used to be that girl, the girl who would wear flats regardless of the weather because they looked cute, and that was all that matters. Read on to see how I turned a poster board into a work of art!
We’ve all been there, the time that your alarm clock doesn’t go off, that your best friend is in need of a starbucks date, or you’re just in a plain hurry and you have no idea what to wear! I’ve been there more times that I would like to think, but over the years I’ve learned to stick to three key formulas for a cute and polished look in under ten minutes!
Whoever thinks it’s ‘hip to be square’, has clearly never worn a peplum. Peplum is a Greek word meaning tunic, and were worn by Ancient Greeks to celebrate a woman’s hips. Over the ages, peplums have been considered high fashion, but have also been featured in many ready to wear collections. This Spring designers such as Jason Wu and Cushnie et Ochs, featured this fun silhouette in their collections. Read on to learn more about how to wear this trend!
